Description:
From the Trail Website (www.cob.org/parks/source/html/trails.html): The Railroad Trail is a safe alternative to Alabama Street from near downtown, over I-5, and continuing east to a gradual grade over Alabama Hill to Lake Whatcom on an old railroad right-of-way.

There is a short, steep section just south of Alabama Street that connects to Whatcom Falls Park trails at a spur at Whatcom Creek (down a slope to the south). There is wildlife viewing at Scudder Pond (near the trail's end at Electric Avenue at Alabama Street).
