Description
The Richard Bong State Recreation Area, encompassing more than 4,000 acres, is situated in Kansasville, a small town in southeast Wisconsin. The park has amenities for a plethora of activities, including hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, horseback riding, snowshoeing, fishing, camping and ATV riding.
A paved roadway runs due north from the Molinaro Visitor Center to the gate on County Highway BB. Along this trail, you'll enjoy views of prairie, woodlands and gently rolling hills. Stop in the visitor center before or after your journey to hear educational programs and see exhibits about the park's namesake (a World War II fighter pilot) and the plants and animals that live here.
Note: a Wisconsin park sticker and trail pass are required for accessing the park's trails.
