Description:
Rifle River Recreation Area features 10 inland lakes and ponds for fishing, canoeing and swimming. The park is excellent for bird and wildlife viewing, especially along the 14 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. Most of the park is open to hunting and trapping during designated seasons.

In terms of mountain biking, while the trail is mostly flat and winding hard-pack, you'll find more challenging climbs near the front (North end) of the park. The trail is very scenic with several streams and high vistas. There are maps available from the park service (see the Trail Website).

These trails are maintained in part by volunteers of the Michigan Mountain Biking Association (MMBA).
