South Connector Trail Description

This path runs along the north side of Highway 11 and south of the city of Janesville. The eastern end starts about 3/4 of a mile west of I-39 and runs all the way to S County Road D, crossing over Rock River and just a short distance from Valley Park. There's a 1/2 mile spur between South County Road G and Center Ave that leads into a residential community and is just to the east of Prairie Knoll Park. Another 1/4 mile spur also runs north at the intersection of South Oak Hill Road and Highway 11 alongside the Prairie Knoll Park. After crossing over Rock River, the path is connected to the Peace Trail which travels north alongside the river.

Parking and Trail Access

The trail can bea reached by taking exit 177 from I-39. Parking is available at Prairie Knoll Park and Valley Park as well as a few spaces at the East Avalond Road Trailhead.
