The South Shore Trail will one day stretch 12 miles between Annapolis and Odenton. It’s also planned to be part of the East Coast Greenway, a widespread network connecting trails in more than a dozen states.
The trail’s first phase—a half-mile section in Millersville—opened in 2014. The paved trail, running between Crain Highway (Maryland Route 3) and I-97, offers a pleasant, tree-lined corridor in this rural community. Farther north, in Odenton, the trail is anticipated to connect to the WB&A Trail in the future.
