Print Friendly MapThe heavily wooded Spring Creek Trail offers a natural retreat through Richardson, a northern suburb of Dallas, as it winds along the picturesque creek for which it's named. The eastern half of the trail runs through Spring Creek Nature Area, a 51-acre park offering picnic areas, restrooms, and other amenities.
From Dallas: Go north on US Highway 75. Exit Renner Road and go east. Parking will be available immediately on the right.
This is a fun trail. Very well shaded and a clear stream trickling throughout the trail.
We have been riding the concrete path on the Spring Creek Trail across from the Botanical Gardens for the past year. They have put up a new Center and trails. One goes way up the hill and one goes around the woods. Lovely and fun. We saw today 4 Armadillos, Great Blue Heron, hundreds of birds and 2 bunnies. Today we explored an area that we thought were just houses but come to find out, another 4 miles of trails. We ended up just off of Aldine Westfield. It was a wonderful 10 mile ride today and there is plenty of room for bikers and walkers. Very impressed!! Great Job Spring Creek Trail!!
It's a beautiful nature walk or bike ride. Paved, bridges, rest areas, location signs and a very unique looking river. You can walk the concrete trail or walk the nature part up in the trees.
The picture for this park is misleading. It is all concrete trails. The trail is really pretty and winding which is fun. It kind of loops in on itself (where I bike) but I haven't explored a lot of the area so I don't know if that is what the while tall is like. Highly recommend!!
