St. Joseph River Greenway

Trail Map

Description Suggest an Edit

The St. Joseph River Greenway begins on the southern outskirts of the small town of St. Joe, not far from the Indiana–Ohio border. The short paved trail (just over 1 mile long) runs through a scenic wooded and rural landscape along its eponymous river. The Civil War monument in the cemetery adjacent to the northern end of the trail is well worth a visit.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is available at Riverdale Elementary School (6127 State Route 1) at the northern end of the trail.

Very well kept concrete walkway that winds along the bank of the river with some parts totally shaded and other parts edged by cornfields and in full sun. Bring the bug spray. Numerous benches along the 1 mile route for sitting and watching the river more
