Town Creek Hike and Bike Trail Description

As the Town Creek Hike and Bike Trail meanders through the heart of Weatherford, travelers will enjoy the natural woodland setting along the creek. One highlight of the pathway is its stop in Holland Lake Park, which features two log cabins built in the mid-1800s. The park, which currently has a playground, picnic facilities and bike racks, will soon offer athletic fields, restrooms and parking areas. Other trailheads are located at the Weatherford Police Station, Bose Ikard Elementary School and the Chamber of Commerce.

Future plans include one day linking the trail to the Lake Mineral Wells State Trailway.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is available at the Bose Ikard Elementary School trailhead (100 Ikard Lane).

Town Creek Hike and Bike Trail Reviews

Very Nice & Clean

The Trail is Clean Safe and well lighted. I bike at 5am so the lights are nice. Short flat fully paved trail with bathrooms and benches. Trail great for Families or for beginners. Does anyone know the best route between town creek trail and Lake MineralWells Trail. A connection between both would be nice.

Nice Trail

Being new to Weatherford, it was great to find this gem. Very easy trail that is well maintained. Wish it were longer and offered dirt options. Again, a great trail to run.

cute ride

Short! Well built trail that is about 3 miles in length. If you want speed and distance this is not the trail for you. Stay aware families are walking the trail for relaxation, and strolling. I was on it during First Monday Trade Day which may have been a factor in my opinion.

There is a really nice park at the cabins that children and adults can enjoy. Ducks and walking paths are easily manageable for elderly and handicapped.

Great Trail

This is a great trail, especially if you have young children learning to ride longer distances. No major uphill grades.
Not for the more competitive rider, but perfect for families.
