Description:
From the Trail De Paris website:

The Trail de Paris was the class project adopted by Leadership Lamar County Class 2004. They planned to develop a multi-use trail system along a portion of the property owned by the Greater Paris Development Foundation under federal railbanking for the development of biking trails. Through the patronage, sponsorship and donations of corporations, civic groups, organizations and individuals, Leadership Lamar County Class 2004 created a multi-use asphalt trail.

The mile markers on the Trail de Paris are courtesy of the Paris Rotary Club. Each marker is numbered and markers are located ¼ mile from one another. Mile marker #1 is placed at Paris' east city limits and the numbers progress as you move into town.

The Trail de Paris is operated by the City of Paris and is open from dawn until dusk. There are no lights along the Trail so be careful to plan your walk in order to return to the parking area before dark. With the canopy of trees, it gets darker on the Trail sooner than off the Trail.

The trail continues into the neighboring City of Reno as the Reno Rail Trail, for another 1.67 miles.

Parking & Trail Access:
From the Trail De Paris website:

Perhaps the best place to park is the Sports Complex/Pavilion near the Love Civic Center. This parking area has ample space and connects to the Trail via a short winding trail. Other areas to park include the PJC campus at the Collegiate Street entrance, Noyes Stadium on 24th Street and the 8th Street entrance.

You can also park at the peewee football fields near Loop 286 to access the eastern portion of the Trail.

Lovin' the Trail de Paris!
By Lobug2310 in May, 2010
It is so nice to have a scenic safe place to go and walk, run, or ride bikes with the family. Thanks to all who have donated and worked to provide it for our community.
We Love It
By Nan Bass in June, 2006
"We love our trail, the next step is to make it longer. The existing trail has a beautiful canopy of trees and several old bridges that lend much character to the trail. It is a huge asset to our community. Come and try it out. "
