Description:
The 4-C Bicentennial Trail project is a collaboration between the city of Wilmington, Wilmington College, the Clinton County Commissioners, and the Clinton Rails-to-Trails Coalition. The 1.3 mile trail connects the Southeast Neighborhood park near Paris Avenue to the David Williams Park on Fife Avenue. A portion of the trail traverses college property, primarily on the south side of Lytle Creek. The Urban Trail which links the Bicentennial Trail and the Luther E. Warren Peace Trail was also completed during the summer of 2005 when the Bicentennial trail was completed and dedicated. Wilmington now has nearly five miles of continuous, paved, linear parks from east to west offering recreational and fitness opportunities to all ages and abilities.
