Warren Bike Path Description

The pleasantly tree-lined Warren Bike Path, built along the former Warren-Fall River Railroad, runs just under a mile from Long Road west to the Kickemuit River. The trail ends in an 18-acre park along the river known as The Meadows, which offers grassy areas in which to picnic or play.

To either side of the paved pathway is a school—Kickemuit Middle School and Hugh Cole Elementary School—as well as Warren Recreation Park, so the trail offers a safe route for children to travel.

Less than two miles west of the trail, across the river, lies the East Bay Bike Path, a beautiful and popular Hall-of-Fame Trail stretching from Bristol to Providence. Future plans call for a connection between the two. The bike path is also hoped to extend farther east to the Massachusetts border.

Parking and Trail Access

On-street parking is available along Asylum Road. You can also park at Warren Recreation Park on the south side of the trail, where the trail crosses Asylum Road. The entrance to the park is on the east side of Asylum Road, just before Hugh Cole Elementary School (50 Asylum Road); park along the park's half-circle driveway.

Warren Bike Path Reviews

This is a very peaceful paved pathway. You can park on Asylum rd in the middle of the path. You can then walk both sides for a good walk. Lots of birds ¿ especially towards the river. Not very long for bikes but good walk for small dogs.
