Description:
The trail is not actually on railroad property, but is immediately
adjacent to an active Southern Pacific rail right-of-way and
crosses an active U.S. Navy rail facility. Three transportation corridors run along Hoover Street between Bolsa Avenue and the Garden Grove Freeway; the four-lane street itself, the tracks of an active railroad, and a paved rail-trail.

FOOD:
There are no restaurants located along the route, but a neighborhood grocery store is on the corner of Trask Avenue and Hoover Street. Restaurants and supermarkets can be found elsewhere in Westminster.

REST ROOMS:
There are rest rooms at either trailhead, nor are there any along the trail.

Parking & Trail Access:
To reach the Bolsa Avenue trailhead form Interstate 405 in Westminster, take the Bolsa Avenue exit. Head east on Bolsa Avenue for 0.4 mile to Hoover Street. The trail is obvious, running between the street and the active Union Pacific Railroad line. The second end point, at Garden Grove Boulevard, is most easily reached by following Hoover Street north to the trail's end. There are no formal parking areas at either end of the trail, and only limited parking along the street.

"Hoover Street Trail
An Urban street side asphalt trail used by locals and students. Parking only available in business lots. Starting North from Bolsa Ave N33.74482 W117.99846 elev 26’ the view is open for 1/2mile with Railroad and power lines on the left and Hoover St on the right. Then Red, White & Pink Flower Oleanders separate the trail from the railroad, soon infringing on the trail. They provide an opportunity for Community Service, picking up the trash. At 1.2 mile N3376140 W117.99857 elev 34’ the trail becomes a sidewalk with an extra lane on the Street. This part of the trail to the end on Garden Grove Blvd, N33.77357 W117.99873 elev 60’ , has many root heaves making it rough.
