White House Greenway Description

White House Greenway is located in the city of the same name, which lies 25 miles north of Nashville, and touches two counties: Sumner and Robertson. The paved pathway begins in the central part of the city, curves around its eastern side, and ends north of White House. Future plans are to complete the loop around the city.

The greenway begins on the south side of TN 76, across the street from the White House Municipal Park. At the park, you'll find athletic facilities, a playground, and picnic shelters. The tree-lined trail continues alongside a creek for much of its nearly 4-mile journey. Note that there are a couple of strenuous hills. Along the way, a portable restroom is available at White House High School on Tyree Springs Road.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is available on the south side of TN 76, within White House Municipal Park (420 Highway 76), at White House High School (508 Tyree Springs Road), and on US 31W north of White House at the Honey Run Creek Trailhead.

White House Greenway Reviews

Drove from BG, Ky., and it's better bike ride than anything here. Wish it was longer. Gas was at least 20 cents cheaper, so the drive was worthwhile.

Absolutely gorgeous scenery. Also, a few restaurants are accessible from the trail!

Awesome Trail

Great trail for walking your dog, jogging, and biking. 3.6 miles from one end to the other. It is not a loop so you will need to turn around and retrace your steps to get back to the trailhead you parked at. There are 5 trailheads along the route to choose from. There is creek water for your dog to grab a drink from but most of it is along the middle part of the trail. All asphalt with 2 challenging hills, one in each direction of the trail. We live in White House and walk our dog here several times a week.

great greenway!

Great greenway with spots to park at various sections along the way. There’s a park across the street from the main entrance with lots to do. Some big hills that will get you breathing on each end if the trail. And if you start at one end and take it all the way, it’s an easy flat ride/walk with sidewalks the whole way back to where you started. You will have to cross the street a few times to go all the way around

Nice ups and downs

Can I give it 10 Stars? My Wife and I were out visiting different Greenways and today was our first time riding this one. We Loved it! Nice creeks along the way and there is not much flat at all. Some really nice ups to get your lungs and legs feeling it and some fun downs so make sure your breaks are not too worn out. Nothing at all boring about this path. We will be back to this one for sure!

Awesome Trail!

We walked this trail on 11/3/13 with our two dogs. Absolutely wonderful trail, all paved, mostly level and wide. Lots of access points all around White House with lots of parking. Trailhead at White House High School has a port-a-potty and seating/bike racks. That is the only facilities we saw on our 2.25 mile one way trek. But many local business nearby the trailheads for stops. Scheduled to be extended and complete a loop through the White House Municipal Park where this is a connector trail already in this very nice park. Wish we lived closer so we could use more often. We live in Kentucky about an hour from here, but it was an easy drive and easy to find the Trailheads with the map on the White House Parks & Rec website.

Love this trail...

I walked 5 miles yesterday and burned 1159 calories.
