Description
Running parallel to State Route 219, this 4 mile section of trail has been built on a former line of the Pennsylvania Railroad (Line 651) and runs from Sandy Township in Clearfield County (near Triangle Tech School in Falls Creek, Pa) north to State Route 219 at McMinns Summit. The trail surface is crushed stone. Parking is available near the middle of the trail at the intersection of 219 and Old Grade Road.

You can tell this is a new trail. The northern end is shale that has been dozed and is very rough. Fortunately it is only a short distance before you run out of the shale but the rest of the trail is not what I would call groomed. It is still a work in ...
