Peshekee to Clowry Rail-Trail Description

The Peshekee to Clowry Rail-Trail is straight and flat, following an old railroad grade that parallels Ida Road north of the town of Champion. The trail crosses the Escanaba River in several places as it traverses a terrain of mixed forest and open bogland through Van Riper State Park. ORVs are allowed to use this trail.

Parking and Trail Access

Park in Van Riper State Park. From Champion, take US 40/SR28 northwest to CR 607; turn north and go a short distance to Ida Road. Ample parking is on the left.
