Glen Dale to Moundsville Rail-Trail Reviews

nice

Nice little walk. Not 3.4 miles as listed. Could cut the grass and little better around the workout areas, especially on the Glendale end.

Cute bike trail if you are around the area

This is fun! It was a great afternoon after I played disc gold at the park.

Nice little trail

Yes it is short but, any rail trail is valuable to the local residents. They are glad to have a nice place away from traffic to exercise.

short, easy paved trail

It's an asphalt trail without any hills. I would imagine its good for kids, the elderly, or a leisurely stroll. Not very exciting scenery, but all in all relatively nice & relaxed.

Nice scenic ride, lots of shade

I ride this trail about once per week. Begin at the Marina parking lot, exit the south end and head North on a brief bike lane on a city street and enter the trailhead area. One wooden bridge over a small creek comes up fast before a lot of nice well maintained paved trail. Always someone out walking or jogging, with wildlife the normal (deer roaming freely) make the trail a pleasure to ride. A few benches and workout stations along the way also. The North end parallels a grass runway air strip that is used once in a while still. This is a good evening and weekend quick ride to get in some miles, and you can do it end for end twice for about a 15 mile workout in about an hour on a bike.

relaxed riding

Nice, relaxing, scenic trail. About half of trail is shaded. Park benches and work out areas (pull up bars, sit up bar etc) line the trail. Well maintained.
