Bob Woodruff Park Trail Description

The Bob Woodruff Park Trail is a part of the City of Plano trails system. This trail, composed of a loop and several spurs within Bob Woodruff Park, also connects to the Santa Fe Trail as well as the Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve Trail. The trail also connects to a number of community features including Armstrong Middle School, Dooley Elementary and the Outdoor Learning Center. The southern portion of Bob Woodruff Park is also where Plano's oldest resident lives, the Quincentennial Bur Oak.

Bob Woodruff Park Trail Reviews

Great place to ride

This is one of my favorite trails, and with the tie in to Oak Point's trails, and the Santa Fe trail, you can go all over E. Plano, from the southern most end almost to Allen on the northern end. The drinking fountains are functional and output clean water. The large duck pond on the south part has restrooms, and there are restrooms on the northern end at Oak Point, where there is also a large pond with many types of wildlife. The trail is well maintained, clean, paved and scenic bridges crossing Rowlett creek in several places-care was taken in designing to keep the surrounding roadways from spoiling the peaceful atmosphere of the riding area. My only complaint is that I live too far from them to ride to them, and have to load up my bike in my truck and drive there-for now, until I get in better shape.
