Thermal Belt Rail Trail

Fantastic Trail

June, 2024 by fkelly17

Rode this trail on June 7th, 2024 and it was an awesome ride. We started at the northern trailhead and rode 10 miles south and back. Super wide and very smooth asphalt the whole way. There were some downed trees from a Thunderstorm the night before blocking part of the trail on the way out but the cleanup crew had reopened it on our way back. So, very well maintained trail. Highly recommend.

Thermal Belt Rail Trail

wonderful paved trail

Started this trail at the Forest Hunt Elementary school parking area. Rode the “almost 30 “ miles of this trail. It was amazing. It’s flat and wide. The trails travels thru woods and tiny quaint towns. There are places to stop and grab a bite to eat. We had pizza and fried pickles at FLY BOY. It was not crowded on this Friday afternoon. Saw lots of squirrels. Highly recommend this trail. We had e bikes but it would be very easy to have a pedal bike due to flatness and no hills. The bike path very well maintained.

Ride my e-bike on Foote trail. It was small gravel. Good quick ride. Walked my bike on asphalt trail because of lots of walkers but it wasn’t a long walk. Will go back not far from my house.

Peak to Prosperity Passage (Palmetto Trail)

fun nature ride

May, 2024 by 42htvtdgh6

I did the whole trail & back, during the week after lunch at Wises bbq. I only encountered one dog walking couple & disturbed 2 basking black snakes . I did hit a a hole someone may have intentionally dug at the end in Pomaria. I thought I popped my front tire & had to do some acrobatics, but unscathed luckily. I did fill in the hole . I saw a review that said “there isn’t much scenery!” I found myself screaming “ this is beautiful sc back woods nature” I throughly enjoyed it ! Definitely different than most trails & little rougher, but great !

Little Sugar Creek Greenway

Great Trail!

Except for a little roll on the southern most end, the southern 10 miles are flat, wide and smooth with several rest stops and no, repeat *no* street crossings. A very good trail.
