Love the trail/ Hate the flats

September, 2017 by crownp8

I get more flats riding this trail than anyplace else. Occasional glass slivers from broken bottles caused by kids and homeless that occupy the area. Dried pine needles are deadly if you leave the trail. The path is fairly clean except when the city cuts the grass. I have 25mm tires so occasional flats can happen, but some local riders refer to this area as "The Flats" and for good reason.

Bricktown Canal Trail

Gorgeous!

March, 2016 by vtubbs

This walk was absolutely beautiful. For the person who appreciates city views, sculpture, and. good food, you will love this trail. My life-long friend, Jerry Breathwit, and I made an afternoon of this short 2-mile round-trip walk. And KD's was the perfect lunch stop.

Bricktown Canal Trail

This was the first trail my husband and I walked when we moved here 4 months ago, and have returned several times since .

Katy Trail (Oklahoma City)

Enjoyable and close

September, 2015 by keycheck63

Just walked 3 miles of this trail starting at the science museum down and back about 3 miles each way. Made it to the 23rd street bridge. Kind of uneventful until you make it to the train tracks. Nice views and paved and maintained the hole way we went it was all sidewalk. Think it would be a very nice bicycle round trip.

South Grand Trail

Gang Marks

February, 2015 by rockypumkin

Good riding but should ride in numbers and always be aware of surroundings. Gang markings throughout lower socioeconomic areas. Interesting characters walking the streets. At the West end it conveniently joins up with a great trail on the Oklahoma River (just ride down the path adjacent to the Dell computers campus).

South Grand Trail

Scenic

October, 2014 by josiejames1

Overall great scenic trail for bike and foot traffic. Little tricky near the tracks where there is no trail. Loved the scenic old town area and sports area on west side and the over hwy pedestrian bridge. Early evenings in residential areas be cautious of children playing near the trail if riding bike. Mostly level and easy travel trail.

Oklahoma River Trails

Nice trail

July, 2014 by lcp05a

We rode the trail on the south side (connecting from the Grand Trail). The River trail was wide and well-marked and it was SO nice that the trail went under the cross streets--instead of actually having to cross them. The day we rode the section east of the boathouse was closed, but I think that was a temporary closure. Also, the area around the stockyards smells like a stockyards--which is to be expected but still worth noting.

South Grand Trail

Nice option for urban ride

July, 2014 by lcp05a

This trail definitely passes through an eclectic mixture of environments. For the most part, the trail is well-marked. In a couple of places, however, we had to stop and think about which way to go. In two sections (a few blocks each) the trail required either riding on the sidewalk or on the road (which was not very busy). This trail crosses numerous streets. Most are not busy and are easily crossed, but several of the crossings require stopping at traffic lights. There's quite a bit of road noise in spots. In spite of those drawbacks, it's very nice to have a trail in town and we thoroughly enjoyed our ride.

Oklahoma River Trails

OkCity Trails are Muchly OK...

June, 2013 by vikingasia

We rode this / these 'River Trails' in early June, 2013. this was an excellent early morning ride for us. Not much shade, but good markings, good scenery, good surface, generally a good experience, except, maybe the noise of the freeway while on the 'north-side'. The ride was short (about 15 miles) but nice, and there is a plethora of things to look-at and enjoy, visually... - OK City provides a definitely OK place to ride

Oklahoma River Trails

I found this trail was very well taking care and well laid out. The only thing I didn't like was that the wind was blowing at about 10-15 MPH and I got some unpleasent smells along the way.
