Dry Creek Trail (Peggy Mensinger Trail)

Great ride for young children on their own. Keep an eye out for homeless, garbage, and the smell. Beyond that, it's a great ride. Though needs a little greenery.

Westside Rails to Trails (Hull Creek to Clavey River)

This is an easy scenic trail for the whole family. There are markers along the way giving some history as well as remaining iron on the ground. Campground on the east end of trail if you want to camp out

Manteca Tidewater Bikeway

road bikes with thin tires…stay away

June, 2021 by zamoragil.oz

Way to much gravel on the trail. Also, large cracks through paved areas.

Merced River Trail

Autumn on Merced River Trail

Yes as described previously, after 5 miles the road is reduced to-a single track, or foot trail. The River is irresistible in its beauty, worth the trip. The old Railroad bed has experienced many Rock slides over the lay 70 years with no Matinence preformed. You will walk your bike plenty. It’s a great hiking trail.

Virginia Corridor Trailway

Perfect for biking

October, 2020 by sexylexy1957

I have been riding the trail for almost 4 years. It used to be my go to to get conditioning on my bike. I have put on over 4,000 miles since 2017, 3,000 on this trail. I love it. Most everyone is great, however, there is a major issue with people not picking up after their pets. The city provides doggie bags, it’s beyond me why people aren’t more respectful of this beautiful trail.

Dry Creek Trail (Peggy Mensinger Trail)

very enjoyable morning

Took the bikes out for the first time with the wife on her first ride and we decided to ride just around the house and slowly worked her towards the trail and she loved it and did the entire ride and worked our way back home nearly 10 miles on her first ride!! Beautiful riding with great sites.

Calaveras River Bike Path

I don’t recommend this trail

June, 2020 by bradlooney5050

I just got back from trying this trail out and I was very disappointed!! I started off Cherokee and the trail starts near there. Not even 2 miles Ahead you will find the homeless on both sides of creek. I counted almost 2 dozen. They were definitely not happy I was there. As I go along I’m passing project housing and run down apartment buildings. My buddy was robbed by the homeless so I was very uncomfortable. I turned around and went back to my truck and left. Trail is paved pretty flat for the most part. I really started liking the trail but I’m too uncomfortable. Anyway try it out and maybe you’ll end up liking the trail. Be safe

Calaveras River Bike Path

Only decent place to ride in Stockton

February, 2020 by ki6uaq

All the other trails are either 50+ year old asphalt that is literally full of potholes and eroded surface, or shared with 50+ mph traffic. This is the only remotely safe place to ride in Stockton until their new bike master plan is complete. That's not slated to be finished until 2035, so this is where you will be biking in Stockton for the next 15 years!
