The Jones Beach Shared Use Path offers a paved bicycle and pedestrian route on the southwestern end of Long Island, paralleling Wantagh Parkway from Seaford to Jones Beach State Park. The trail was formerly known as the Jones Beach Bikeway, the Ellen Farrant Memorial Bikeway, and the Wantagh State Parkway Shared-Use Path.
At the trail's northern end is Cedar Creek Park, which offers a spacious 259 acres on which to play tennis, basketball, softball, football, and soccer. Other amenities include an archery range, large playground, dog run, roller rink, sledding hills, and even an aerodrome field for radio-controlled airplanes.
At its southern end, the trail offers access to Jones Beach and the boardwalk. In Jones Beach State Park, travelers can also connect to the Ocean Parkway Coastal Greenway, a scenic paved trail along the shoreline that ends at Tobay Beach.
