Bike and beer for a cause! Friends of the Forest Preserves (FOTFP) is hosting its Third Annual Beer in the Woods on Saturday, September 28. Join us in LaBagh Woods, the south terminus of the North Branch Bike Trail, for a beer tasting and nature-themed festival! Taste samples from 30 breweries and cideries and enjoy interactive live animal presentations, home brewing demonstrations, bird walks, an ultimate campsite display, nature-themed crafts, picnic games, local food trucks, a DJ, and more! This fundraiser benefits FOTFP, which works to unite communities to protect, promote and care for the forest preserves in Cook County, including LaBagh Woods. There is free bike valet and low cost tickets for nondrinkers, who can still enjoy the festivities—all for a good cause!
