The Manchester Land Trust has just completed resurfacing nearly a mile of the Cheney Rail Trail. The new surface is a rolled stone dust. It is expected in 2015 an additional 3/4 mile of rail trail will be completed and open for all to enjoy

The wood steps have been replaced with a 30' long ramp. The whole length of the portion of the trail owned by the Manchester Land conservation Trust has been upgraded to an 8'wide process stone path.

An original concrete whistle post standing just north of the Hilliard St. crossing. The trail has just been upgraded to an 8' wide concrete multi-use path.
