Zilker Metropolitan Park Description

Thought to be Austin's most-loved park, Zilker Metropolitan Park is 351-acres in the city center and is situated along Lady Bird Lake. The park offers a wide variety of recreational spaces and amenities, with classes and events for all ages. 

Explore the park via its shared-use trails and pedestrian walkways. Within the park you'll find the Zilker Botantical Gardens, the Barton Springs Pool, the Austin Science and Nature Center, the Hillside Theatre, and a recreation center. The park also has volleyball courts, basketball courts, scenic overlooks, boat ramps, picnic areas and shelters, playgrounds, restrooms, water fountains, off-leash dog areas, and hiking trails. Bike racks and boat rentals are available as well.
