Print Friendly MapSpanning nearly five miles, the Busch Greenway provides an important connector between Missouri’s famed Katy Trail, the August A. Busch Conservation Area, and Missouri Research Park in western St. Louis. At the northern end of the business park, it parallels Highway 94 and connects with the Hamburg Trail.
A trailhead is available in Missouri Research Park adjacent to the Duckett Creek wastewater facility and includes a self-service bike repair station.
Love this trail, it’s beautiful with running water which really adds to the whole experience. My fiancé and I parked at the trail head and road up the hill and around the business park. We then went back down the hill and took the trail to the Katy trail headed towards Good News Brewing. The Greenway is, well, GREEN, and we loved having a paved path. We then followed Katy trail up to Augusta Brewing, shared a pitcher of beer and came on back. All in it was a 38 mi ride. It was definitely a great way to spend our Sunday!
My wife and two older kids joined me on this one. We started at the Nuclear Waste Park which had a huge amount of free, easy parking right off 94. The Hamburg path runs through the park and we traveled north-east and connected to Busch as it went under 94. The Busch path ends at the Katy trial so we jumped on that and went west until we could jump back on the Hamburg path north back to the parking spot.
My family and I (husband and 3 kids; a 7 year old, a 4 year old, and a one year old who was on a seat attached to my husbands bike) rode a portion of this trail. We started at the access by the pond and rode to the end (about 2 miles). Along the way we saw an abundance of beautiful flowers and scenery. The trail is well marked, and has many options to go off and connect to other trails for a longer ride. The kids loved going through the tunnels. Though the paved trail was not completely flat, it was still a fairly easy ride. I recommend this trail for anyone who has kids with them or is looking for a nice and easy ride.
Started at the trailhead took the path down the hill by the bike station, which connects to the katy trail. Then turned around, went up the hill to Missouri research Dr, turned right which takes you to the front at highway 94, but will continue on to Busch wildlife area. From highway 94 take Missouri Research Dr. Turn left at Duckett Creek treatment plant down hill to trailhead..
5 miles of rolling hills, no roads to cross, many possible connecting trails to make our longer. Interesting foliage to look at the entire way.
This trail is wonderful. It is fully paved and meanders through the business. There are signs along the way that you can stop and read about the different businesses. It takes you through woods and along fields of sunflowers. There is also a pond. I like it because it is easy to ride and has it's share of civilization and nature.
