On an August 6, 2013, daytrip from Lake Lure to the nearby trails. I parked at Forrest Hunt Elementary ( while school was not in session ), and attempted to take the trail. You can travel approx 200+ feet , and then the trail turns from dirt to grass, and then the trail disappears. Not well marked. I abandoned the mission, and drove away. As I was driving , I saw the trail with lots of overgrowth. Not pretty.
