Situated on Lake Union, the Gas Works Park offers scenic views of Seattle over the water. In addition to the park's pedestrian pathways, the Burke-Gilman Trail passes by the park and heads north for 12.5 miles to the Log Boom Park in Kenmore.
The park has a playground with a large play barn, a large hill popular for flying kites, picnic tables and shelters, grills, restrooms, drinking fountains, scenic overlooks, amphitheater lawn, several lawns, stone sculptures, and a sundial.
Please note that access to Lake Union is restricted at Gas Works Park, because of the hazardous substances contained in the lake sediment. Entering the water or launching boats from the park is prohibited.
The park is open from 6am to 10pm.
Parking is available at the park's entrance (2101 N Northlake Way) in the parking lot is on the right and street parking is on the left.
