Montrose Park Trails Description

Overlooking Georgetown in northwest DC, Montrose Park is a sixteen-acre park that has a playground, picnic tables, restrooms, water stations, informational and interpretative kiosks, benches, open green spaces, and brick pathways. The Ropewalk is a straight, paved path that was originally used for the spinning and twisting process used to make hemp into lengths of rope.

Dumbarton Oaks Parks (on R St between 31st St & Avon Pl) is located on the north side of the park. Rock Creek runs along the west side of the park.

Parking and Trail Access

There is no designated parking for the park, but 2-hour street parking is available on the surrounding streets and neighborhoods.
