Rob Brook ROAD

Rob Brook Trail is a hiking and mountain biking trail, not a rail trail with ballast! Rob Brook Road on the other hand is a great FR (Forest Road)with a gravel and sand surface that goes into the forest for almost 6 miles. Both start at a kiosk on the west side of Bear Notch Road about 1 mile north from the Kancamagus Hwy on the Conway end. Rob Brook Road is an easy ride with a few modest uphills. It ends near the Swift river which can be forded at low water, but should not be attempted when the water is high. If you cross the river, you will need to ride back along the Kanc and back up Bear Notch Road. Otherwise, retrace your route on Rob Brook Road.
