Signal Ditch Trail Description

Signal Ditch Trail picks up at the north end of the Farmers' High Line Canal Trail and continues northwest. The hike-and-bike trail meanders along Signal Ditch, an irrigation channel which speaks to Thornton's agricultural roots. Today, the trail is surrounded by neat suburban housing and neighborhood open spaces, which include Lake Village Park, Cherrywood Park, Fallbrook Park and Fallbrook Farm Park. The trail also intersects with Lee Lateral Ditch Trail at York Street, which heads then east.

The Signal Ditch is open for non-motorized uses only.

Parking and Trail Access

Park at the York Street parking area of the Lake Village Parkway. The parking lot is located at the intersection of Signal Ditch Trail and York Street.
