Sodus Point to Wallington Trail Description

This 2.3-mile gravel trail follows the former Sodus-Wallington Rail Line through a lush forest setting, with occasional views of nearby farms and historic houses.

About the Route

Running north from the junction of Geneva Road and Ridge Road, this two-track gravel trail continues to Margaretta Road. Once part of the Sodus Point & Southern Railroad, which first ran trains through Stanley to Sodus Point in 1872, the Sodus Point to Wallington Trail offers a chance to explore the scenery and nature near Lake Ontario. The trail crosses two small roads, but overall offers a serene experience, secluded from nearby traffic.

Parking and Trail Access

At the southern end of the trail, along North Geneva Road, there is a small area of street parking. Please see the TrailLink Map for all options and detailed directions.
