The park encompasses White Rock Lake, a 1,015-acre city lake about 5 miles northeast of downtown Dallas. Home to wetlands, fields, and woods, White Rock Lake Park offers a wide variety of recreational activities. Home to an Audubon Society bird watching area, the White Rock Lake Museum, Dallas Arboretum, and Bath House Cultural Center, the park has picnic areas, pavilions, boat ramps, a dog park, and several multiuse trails.
The White Rock Lake Park Loop Trail follows the shoreline of White Rock Lake and connects may of the features and amenities within the park. This trail connects to the White Rock Creek Trail (North) at the northern tip of the lake. The Lake Park Loop Trail also connects to the Union Pacific Trail, the Santa Fe Trail, and the Katy Spur Trail.
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) system provides easy access to the park. Visit the DART website to plan your visit.
Parking is available at a number of lots located around the park.
