Thought to be Austin's most-loved park, Zilker Metropolitan Park is 351-acres in the city center and is situated along Lady Bird Lake. The park offers a wide variety of recreational spaces and amenities, with classes and events for all ages.
Explore the park via its shared-use trails and pedestrian walkways. Within the park you'll find the Zilker Botantical Gardens, the Barton Springs Pool, the Austin Science and Nature Center, the Hillside Theatre, and a recreation center. The park also has volleyball courts, basketball courts, scenic overlooks, boat ramps, picnic areas and shelters, playgrounds, restrooms, water fountains, off-leash dog areas, and hiking trails. Bike racks and boat rentals are available as well.
Capital Metro, Austin's public transit system, provides easy access to the park. Visit the CapMetro website to plan your trip.
Parking is available at locations around the park. View the TrailLink map for all options and detailed directions.
