Mid April, extremely high waters due to very large amounts of recent rains. Some of the trial unable to pass due to overflowing Shenango River. Safety is important! As long as we don't get much rain any time soon, water levels will drop and as always, get out and enjoy some great hiking!
Today was so beautiful ! This was a fabulous trail, and I felt safe, and it was so peaceful. Everyone I encountered was so nice, and the scenery was lovely. Do this trail people.
Nice trail. I used it probably 50 times in the last year. Ohio side is a little rough.
Unless you love climbing steep hills for half the ride then this trail isn’t an enjoyable one unless used for training
Great start. This trail needs to be re-established from Canton down through Beach City and finally to Urichsville !
We did a 8.45 mi round trip between Harvard Rd and Warren Rd overhead bridge. Being in a wheelchair we had no issues whatsoever with the surface of the trail.
Great weather for November hiking! Early AM 30° but warmed to 42° with plenty of sun and blue skies. Several horses, 13 hikers, and 2 dogs today. Trail is dry and clear despite recent rain.
Really nice biking trail wooded on both sides this year they repaved it from Fredericksburg to Millersburg the trail is smooth and flat most everyone is friendly!
Super nice trail to ride on a fall day . Well maintained. The ride from Bowerston to scio is very beautiful any time you ride . Make sure you stop at the dairy bar in the summer and take a trip up to Main Street to the country pub food is great and so is the service
Is an additional probably 3 mile loop in the woods that takes you right up to the waterline.
The Shenango Trail is completely clear and in great shape. Hiked over 5 miles yesterday and had a great hike spotting several deer and Bald Eagles. Late afternoon is the best time for animal watching. Glimpsed several beaver on the river. Due to the dry summer all areas are passable. Bikers taking advantage of conditions. Hunters can be present; WEAR SAFETY ORANGE!
