Big Dry Creek Trail (Westminster)

Great trail for biking

January, 2024 by jennkel5669

Great trail for biking however I wish they would leave the surface alone and stop adding concrete!! Be careful when going into tunnels, these may be flooded and contain debris. You could also take a nasty fall, so please slow down. Lots of wildlife and great for bird watching!

Farmers' High Line Canal Trail

Ran into construction along the trail at about Washington and 124th so we had to detour past the Eastlake train station and a little south. This is one of my favorite rides and connect 6 trails to make a 16 mile loop.

Sand Creek Regional Greenway

Avoid trail north if I-70

September, 2023 by awalker2010_tl

Would not recommend this trail any further north of I-70/Quebec bridges if you’re a runner. Numerous people doing drugs on the trail. Left over foils. Watch for needles. Not to mention the excessive amount of trash in this area. Pretty sad and disappointing.

US 36 Bikeway

US 36 Bikeway

The terrain it’s in great conditions. Nice up and down hills.

Switzerland Trail

Not a trail for gravel bikes. Rugged and rutty from the Sugarloaf Rd. Trailhead. Mountain bikes can handle it but double track with plenty of ATV traffic.

Clear Creek Trail (CO)

bike to work day 2023

July, 2023 by petunia.1

We started in Golden and rode to the South Platte and into Downtown Denver The water is high enough to force a few underpass closures but it was beautiful the entire way. The trail passes through several municipalities and has really been improving over the years. It’s challenging to retrofit a trail around private property and buildings that have been in place for so long but they are doing a great job giving everyone a beautiful place to enjoy

High Line Canal Trail (CO)

Scenic in parts, Mostly unmarked & unmaintained.

June, 2023 by chad.rex77

I typically take High Line connecting to C-470 Bikeway onto Mary Carter Greenway from Redstone Park.

Work along C-470 Bikeway has a lot of detours, routing around McLellen Reservoir. I take High Line to county line trail through Mineral, then crossing Sante Fe connecting to Mary Carter Greenway behind Aspen Grove at the South Platte Nature Center.

The northwest end of the High Line takes you around Dekoevend Park, a very scenic ride with tree canopy in some areas.
