Buffalo Creek Preserve Trail

Not Kid Friendly

February, 2024 by britneelong06

It definitely is not kid friendly. There are too many roots, holes, and giant rocks to use a stroller and my 5 year old kept tripping over it all we didn’t make it a very far before we had to turn around. We will come back just not with the little ones.

Hartsville Bicycle Path

calling it a bicycle path is questionable

July, 2023 by pattymc58

Most of this path is a lane along the main roadway. The city does not keep the bike lane clear of debris. The way people drive in Hartsville, not a safe or enjoyable ride in my opinion and certainly shouldn't be considered a bike trail! Hartsville has a long way to go to accommodate bicycles.

Hartsville Bicycle Path

Easy and paved ride

June, 2023 by jhessian333

This is a paved path or sidewalk route in and around Hartsville. Easy and pretty ride. We completed on a Sunday morning without many folks out and about. W Homes is a busy street. If there were walkers, not sure I would want to bike on that road.

Great trail to start our new adventures

November, 2021 by finneganpuppypage

Reservoir park was a wonderful walk to start our new adventures after two years stuck near home because of Covid. Not crowded, runners, walkers, dogs and toddlers on bikes. A beautiful mix of life.

I don’t live in the area but am a nurse at one of the health facilities in the area. I prefer running outdoors but am leaving home before the sun comes up and getting home after dark. I stumbled upon this trail behind my office during a lunch break several years back and loved it. I have been running it before or after work ever since. It’s a little confusing at first as it’s access points are minimally marked. But once you get the layout under your belt it’s a very nice trail!

Buffalo Creek

I was disappointed in the trail. If you are going to hike this plan to come way after a rain. It was extremely muddy and therefore getting quite eroded. The biggest disappointment was the human impact as far as first trash and then once I made it to a beautiful deciduous forest with gorgeous beech trees, if these beautiful trees were within a few feet of the trail they were defaced. Come on people!

Nick's Creek Trail

Quiet trail

November, 2020 by screliefvet

Several of the trails in the Moore Parks system are close by my work and this is one of my favorites. The trail is peaceful and nowhere near as busy as the nearby Reservoir park. I have even seen deer and other wildlife as I stroll down it’s length. It’s a dirt path but well maintained. I am not a confident runner, but I will run on this trail because of the good footing. It connects to the Forest Creek trail at the upper end, so although it is not a long trail, you can continue on for miles. There aren’t any of the amenities that the Reservoir park offers, but I like that it’s out of the way. Check it out and enjoy!

Started at cannon park - walked into town - not well marked but the arboretum area is beautiful with wooden bridges. Very nice.

Albemarle has more than this

April, 2020 by moonshot61

The trail is ok but as another reviewer mentioned it's nothing to get excited about, particularly for cyclists. However, I chose to move to Albemarle partly for the many miles of sidewalks. You can walk or run for miles here if you want and never cross the same route. The city is finally recognizing this asset and marking various routes for newcomers. Come see us!

Great running trail, gorgeous scenery!

September, 2017 by amberazul14

I have wobbly ankles so some of the trail was moderately challenging (as opposed to running on flat asphalt) but it is truly gorgeous scenery and a lovely run. The restrooms were clean, the views were gorgeous and I look forward to running here frequently and bringing my kids to kayak. I'd easily rate it 5 stars, however I tripped on a root and gouged my knee pretty badly. If I wasn't so clumsy this would definitely rate 5 out of 5 stars.
