Shoreline Bike Path Description

The Shoreline Bike Path is a scenic 4.3-mile multipurpose trail that runs between the tip of the breakwater opposite Island Grissom at the Long Beach Shoreline Marina and Long Beach's Belmont Shore neighborhood.

About the Route

Running along a white sand beach for nearly its entire journey, the trail provides direct access to the Pacific Ocean and the city's popular Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier.

The path, which is 17 feet wide, features separate 6-foot-wide bike lanes and a 5-foot-wide pedestrian lane, offering ample room for trail users of all types. The views from the trail are spectacular: cranes of the container port, oil islands and ships anchored in the outer harbor mix with more traditionally beautiful scenes of Palos Verdes and the mouth of the San Gabriel River in the distance.

Shoreline Bike Path Reviews

meh

Would have been swell but the disgusting bathrooms and homeless people shooting up at the beach park was enough for us to not want to come back to this one. Huntington Beach is way better.

I love Long Beach

The city keeps the paths spotless.
