Black Pond Trail Description

The Black Pond Trail itself is short but it can be linked with other trails that run through the forest in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, just northeast of Lincoln. Specifically, the Black Pond Trail makes a nice loop when combined with the Lincoln Woods Trail and the Franconia Brook Trail. Together, the trails offer scenic mountain views, a beautiful waterfall and woodland adventure.

Pick up the southern trailhead from the Lincoln Woods Trail and head north through dense forest to Black Pond.

Parking and Trail Access

To reach the trailhead, you'll have to go to the south end of the Lincoln Woods Trail, which is off State Route 112 (Kancamagus Highway) northeast of Licoln. Look for signs to the parking area for Lincoln Woods; there is a visitor center here. From here, take the trail northeast 2.6 miles to the Black Pond Trail.
