Blackfish Parkway Trail Description

Blackfish Parkway Trail lies in the southwestern corner of Shawnee, a suburb of Kansas City. Although the trail follows a major roadway, much of the route is lined with mature trees and nice homes. Along the way, look for the Shawnee Indian Prayer Wheel, a sculpture by Charles Goslin.

From the trail's western end, you can connect to other trails: Lackman Road Path, Midland Drive Path, and Little Mill Creek Trail.

Parking and Trail Access

At Lackman Road, cross the roadway and turn north, taking the paved path along the western side of Lackman Road to parking in Swarner Park (6200 Lackman Road).
