Lake Cascade State Park is 75 miles north of Boise on State Route 55. From SR 55 turn west on Vista Point Blvd and follow the road as it heads south. The trailhead is near the intersection with Crown Point Parkway.
We had 2 kids: age 3 year old (with training wheels) and 5 year old with us. We only biked in 2 miles in and out. We took a break on a sandy beach. Felt like a hidden gem. We will be back for sure for more riding as the kids get older so we can complete the section.
We took this trail on Labor Day weekend. It was a short but very scenic views of the Cascade Lake -the beaches. It’s a great trail no problems with rocks or anything. It was very smooth. we’d do this again because we can daycamp at the beach right there in Crown point. We took a lunch and stopped at one of the beaches and had a great time!
