Print Friendly MapThe Druid Road Trail is a vital link in Pinellas County’s extensive trail system, connecting two of its most prominent trails: the Pinellas Trail, which stretches for 50 miles from St. Petersburg to Tarpon Springs, and the Duke Energy Trail. Both trails are part of the eventual 75-mile chain of trails known as the Pinellas Trail Loop.
The Druid Road Trail is four miles long, paved all the way and is accessible to the many residents of Clearwater whose neighborhoods border Druid Road. The trail's surface resembles a wide sidewalk and offers a smooth, off-road experience. At its western end, the trail connects to the Pinellas Trail. At its eastern end, it links with the Duke Energy Trail.
Glen Oaks Park (1345 Court St, Clearwater) near the western end of the trail and McMullen Tennis Complex (1000 Edenville Ave, Clearwater) near the eastern end both have water, restrooms, and parking.
Parking is available on Turner Street at the western end of the trail by the Pinellas Trail, at Glen Oaks Park (1345 Court St, Clearwater), and at McMullen Tennis Complex (1000 Edenville Ave, Clearwater).

The trail is nice mostly flat and well marked. I felt very safe riding the entire trail. You will go through a little part of Hoodish area but it’s very short. I recommend the trail and you can catch another trail on the way.
Not only is it not a designated trail, it doesn’t reach the end, and Just turns into broken up sidewalk! Many people Overpark onto the walk and block the flow a bicycle traffic.
Trail is mostly a wide sidewalk paralleling the road, so not much for scenery, but a welcome connector to better trails on both ends. Used the Druid Road trail to ride between the Duke Energy / Wilson Clearwater / Courtney Campbell Causeway trails to the Pinellas Trail. Easy to find and navigate and a welcome alternative to riding on the road.
this trail goes along a sidewalk that’s really wide for bikes. It’s great to connect to the Pinellas Trail, but it’s not at all scenic. It is a functional trail to connect to a better trail. I am very grateful it exists so I don’t have to ride on the roads.
We felt very safe on this trail during our ride from Courtney Campbell Trail to downtown Clearwater and onto the beach. It was well marked.
Road from Clearwater Beach to Tampa and back today. This trail is a key piece. Everything was well signed and clear. That made for an enjoyable ride. There are some busy at grade crossing but the crossings at easy with push buttons and crosswalks.
