Print Friendly MapThe East 224 Connector Trail provides a convenient route through South Snyderville Basin from Willow Creek Park to the Redstone Shopping Complex. It meanders north along the former Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad right-of-way for just over a mile, then parallels State Route 224 before approaching the Swaner Nature Reserve, a scenic wetland and meadow habitat with an award-winning educational facility. The path is packed dirt and stone with two boardwalk segments through wetlands.
The trail connects to the asphalt-surfaced 224 Connector Trail at its northern end and the McLeod Creek Trail, Split Rail Trail and Willow Creek Trail to the south.
From Interstate 80, take exit 145 onto SR 224 to Park City. After 2 miles, turn left onto Old Ranch Road. Travel this for a half mile to the entrance of Willow Creek Park.
This packed dirt / gravel trail is very suitable for three wheel cycles. It is packed across its width with few two wheel tracks of motor vehicles. Single post trail markers with multiple trail signs can be confusing, Trail may extend east from Willow Creek Park along Old Ranch Road then along Quarry Mountain Rd for 0.5 mile where it turns North and ends in 0.2 miles again on Old Ranch Rd.
