Ellicott Creek Trailway is an asphalt path used for biking, walking, running, and rollerblading. This multiuse pathway travels along Ellicott Creek—a 47-mile waterway that flows from Bennington to the Niagara River. Located in Amherst, it also rides the outskirts of the University at Buffalo campus. The entire trail winds for almost 7 miles.
Parking is available along with bathrooms, a water fountain, and tennis courts at the Audobon Town Park entrance on N. Forest Road.
We have biked this trail many times now and will always be my favorite! Lots of scenery and bridges to cross, also a few fun curves! Also it's nice to take a ride through Ellicott Creek Park!
A great place to workout in the buffalo area while enjoying the beauty of Mother Nature. The trail is perfect for biking, walking, and even rollerblading. The changes in elevation are slight, but enough to add to the challenge. The trail is faulty lengthy, maybe 6 miles? I ended up picking up another trail that lead to the Erie Canal and up to Lockport. I went in July of 2021 - perfect at 7am. There are several bathroom throughout the trail. There’s tennis courts so bring a racquet! There’s also a golf course. Plenty of parking - free!!
Great trail for a run through nature. Well maintained asphalt path. Plenty of parking.
Took a walk while my daughter was playing hockey. Since we can’t go in to watch I figured I’d take a walk. I didn’t even know this trail was here. Found it by dumb luck. It’s extremely nice, all paved, mower and landscaped. I only went a couple miles but I’ll definitely start doing it all the time.
