Granger Paths Description

The community of Granger is tucked into the north end of Indiana, bordering Michigan. The community itself, through the Friends of Granger Paths recognized the need for safe, separate areas for walking and biking, and mobilized to help make it happen. The ultimate vision is for 21 miles of trails criss-crossing the community; to date, 5 miles are complete and open for use. Three miles run adjacent to Adams Road, between Mary Frank Elementary School and Gumwood Road. The trail itself, actually stops short of Gumwood Road, but the asphalt golf cart path is used to close the 0.3-mile distance between the end of the trail and Gumwood. Another perpendicular section of trail extends along Gumwood Road, from Toscana Park to the Michigan border (and continues beyond that).

The work continues to extend the network of trails.

side walks to everywhere

This is a great bike path to connect the community and keep children out of street.
