Harpeth River Greenway is one of many forming Nashville's system of greenways throughout the city. Nashville's greenways link neighborhoods, schools, shopping areas, the downtown area, offices, recreation areas, open spaces and other points of interest.

The Harpeth River Greenway is a series of four disconnected, multi-use trails that run along the Harpeth River in suburban Nashville. The various segments serve a variety of communities and parks throughout the city.

The segments are known locally as:

Harpeth Youth Soccer Association, from Harpeth River Park, across the river to a loop in Bellevue Park and return. There are plans to build a connector trail from the shopping center off US 70S/SR 1/Memphis-Bristol Hwy.

Morton Mill, follows Morton Mill Road from Old Harding Pike north. Future plans will connect this segment with the Harpeth Youth Soccer Association segment.

Warner Park to Bellevue Exchange Club, from near the end of McPherson Drive along the river to Edwin Warner Park. There are two spurs at the park: one short spur follows the river (875 feet) and the other heads north away from the river toward SR 100.

Riverwalk, from the end of Wood Stream Drive along the river north then west to near the end of Westvale Drive in the same subdivision. There are access spurs from the subdivision at Watervale, Rivervalley, Bridgeport and Westvale drives.

Parking and Trail Access

You can access the greenway segments at several places, including:

Harpeth Youth Soccer Association section, 7820 Coley Davis Road
Morton Mill section, 940 Morton Mill Road
Warner Park to Bellevue Exchange Club section, Edwin Warner Park (7311 Highway 100) and 621 McPherson Drive
Riverwalk section, Bending River Drive

Great Trail

This is a great trail! It has access to the Warner Parks trails, lots of neighborhoods with bike lanes and low traffic. Study the local map and you can loop around and easily get in 20 - 30 miles.

East Side of Trail

We parked across the street from the driving range and took a left onto the trail. We found the far East side of the trail quite disappointing. You walk alongside a busy road most of the time and when you think you’re finally heading down towards the woods, the path dead ends. Next time, we plan to go West towards Percy Warner where I am sure there is better scenery. Of note, the asphalt was in good condition and it was an easy place to walk with a stroller.

Beautiful Trail

Versatile landscapes, a level trail, along the Harpeth River and beyond into Edwin Warner Park. It won’t disappoint!

Nice place to ride

My wife and I started at Woolwine Trailhead at Edwin Warner Park and cruised to the current end a little over 6 miles away and back, Very nice and scenic route. We are looking forward to seeing this path grow. There is only one part that is an old worn out stretch of blacktop near the beginning at Edwin Warner Park but other than that, it's a very smooth ride.
