Jean Teague Greenway Description

The Trail starts on Broome Rd. and heads south parallel to N Gallaher View Road for 0.2 miles. A left turn takes you onto E Walker Springs Ln. where the trail sticks close to the road before peeling off and slipping between open green spaces and residential developments. After N. Winston Rd. the trail continues east into West Hills Park. Here it splits into two branches through the park before converging just before the trail meets another street, Sheffield Drive. The  trail ends at the West Hills Elementary School parking lot along Vanosdale Rd.

The Jean Teague Greenway connects to other trails including the Ten Mile Creek Greenway and the Cavet Station Greenway.

Parking and Trail Access

The trail is easily accessible from most of the nearby neighborhoods. For visitors, the best place to park is West Hills Park (421 North Winston Rd.), which also has amenities like a gazebo and picnic shelter; restrooms; playgrounds and fields for various sports. There are 194 parking spaces here (2 Accessible). To get to the park, just take I-40 west to the West Hills exit and turn right onto Kingston Pike. Follow that with another right turn onto Winston Rd., and cross the bridge over I-40. Turn right into West Hills Park. You can park behind the West Side Family YMCA building.

Alternatively, you can park at the east end of the trail, at West Hills Elementary Park, where there are two lots (with 3 accessible spaces). The school is located at 409 Vanosdale Rd.
