Lake Baldwin Trail Description

The Lake Baldwin Trail is a 12-foot wide multi-use trail that circles Lake Baldwin in Orlando Florida. The asphalt trail is wide enough to accommodate different types of users, including older residents out for a leisurely stroll, families looking for a safe place to ride together, and dogs and their owners getting some exercise. At the cardinal points of the route, you’ll pass some points of interest: In the north, Lake Baldwin Trail in Winter Park is a dog-friendly green space with benches, picnic tables and a playground. This segment of the trail is wooded and shaded. You’ll also find Veteran’s Memorial Park up there.

Orlando’s Baldwin Park neighborhood is a planned community to the south of the Lake. The Baldwin Lake Village Center features restaurants and shopping with views of the lake.  The trail also skirts the edge of the Blue Jacket Park on the west side of the lake. Directly across the lake from that, the loop connects to the Little Econ Greenway If looping the trail gets a little repetitive, you can always extend your hike or ride significantly by taking that spur to the Cady Way Trail, and riding north to where it connects to the 23-mile Cross Seminole Greenway.

Parking and Trail Access

You can park at Lake Baldwin Park in Winter Park (2000 S Lakemont Ave.). Street parking is also available along Lakemont Ave. on the west side of the Lake.

Lake Baldwin Trail Reviews

nice view

It’s a nice trail but it goes in a circle , did not like that . But it’s enjoyable to ride .

Amazing trail.

I came cycling from Downtown Orlando to here and I really enjoyed. Great atmosphere.

Great trail -make ride longer starting at Blue Jacket Park

We did this ride on a Sunday morning at about 8:30am. It wasn’t super busy, nor too hot yet. We started by parking at Blue Jacket Park and riding over to Lake Baldwin Park. We rode around Lake Baldwin twice and then rode back to our parking spot. The starting point change gave us an extra mile round trip! Plenty of shade near the lake and some spots were a little higher to climb (I was riding a cruiser with no gears ¿¿). We will do this one again.

great for inline skates!

Good asphalt and great concrete.
