Landis Valley Road Sidepath Description

Part of Manheim Township's growing greenways network, the Landis Valley Sidepath is an asphalt, multi-use trail that begins at the Manheim Township Bikeway on the south end of the Landis Valley Museum. After crossing a small cemetery, the trail descends steeply to the intersection of Landis Valley Road and Route 272 (Oregon Pike). This very busy intersection is poorly marked, so caution is advised.

After crossing Route 272, the trail parallels the north side of Landis Valley Road, continuing southeast past local subdivisions and Calvary Church, ending immediately northwest of the bridge over Route 222.

In addition to providing safe travel for walkers and cyclists along busy Landis Valley Road, the trail connects directly to Manheim Township Bikeway and Landis Valley Museum, a sprawling complex built to resemble a local village circa the 18th or 19th centuries where attendees can learn about the area's agricultural history. Links to other nearby paths, including the Olde Hickory Village, Heritage and Stoner Park-Eden Road trails can be made via local streets.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is available at the lots at Landis Valley Museum, Calvary Church and a local shopping center.
