Lindenfield Parkway Trail Description

The mile-long Lindenfield Parkway Trail is part of Chalfont's burgeoning trail network. It extends down the grassy median of the street for which it is named from Main Street to Micheal Lane, then continues northeast along a gas line right of way, crossing the North Branch of Neshaminy Creek into New Britain Township, where it joins to the walking path that encircles North Branch Park.

Despite its location down the median of a street, the trail is a short, but pleasant experience due to the fact that Lindenfield Parkway does not get a lot of traffic and serves primarily as a local street serving Chalfont's north end. The trail provides an important link between the borough and neighboring New Britain Township by allowing residents to easily access the latter municipality's North Branch Park, as well as several adjacent communities. Long range plans anticipate the Neshaminy Creek Greenway, a multi-use path currently existing in four segments, two of which are on Chalfont's south side, eventually being extended along the North Branch of the creek, which will link the Lindenfield Parkway Trail and North Branch Park to the Chalfont Parks Trail on the southwest side of town as well as to the Circuit, the much larger greenway network being built throughout the Philly metropolitan area.

Lindenfield Parkway Trail Reviews

Nothing special

The trail is totally out in full sun. The trail through the North Branch Park was very pleasant. If we were not trying to ride 150 trails this year we would not ride short trails like this one.
