Lindon Heritage Trail Description

Lindon's Heritage Trail allows users to cross from one of the city to the other without the use of cars. The shared use trail is paved and welcomes such activities as walking, jogging, cycling and even horseback riding. The trail stretches from 1200 East street in the east, on the edge of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail Nature Park, to Pioneer Road, at a point less than a mile a way from Utah Lake. On its way it intersects with Murdock Canal Trail, a popular regional trail stretching 17 miles and crossing 7 communities, including Lindon.

The Lindon Heritage Trail also connects to local destinations as it passes through neighborhoods,  busy commercial and industrial zones and parks and schools. Points of interest include Lindon City Park, which sits at about the midpoint of the trail. The recreation complex hosts an aquatic center, a recreation center and a senior center.

West of Lindon City Park, the trail crosses underneath State Street (US 89). The other street crossings are all at grade, as is the crossing at the Union Pacific tracks west of 200 South street. The final stretch of trail follows the bushy verge of Grove Creek.

A third and final phase of the trail is planned to close the 0.88-mile gap between the current west endpoint on Pioneer Road and the Lindon Marina on Utah Lake.

Parking and Trail Access

The best place to park is Lindon City Park, located at 200 N State St, Lindon, UT. From there you can head east or west on the trail.
